MISSION

To live out the great commission by creating and sending disciples to the nations

  • We believe that God has spoken, revealing himself and his will in The Bible, both Old and New Testaments. Although the light of nature, and the works of creation and providence do manifest the goodness, wisdom, and power of God, as to leave men inexcusable, they are not sufficient to give that knowledge of God and his will which is necessary for salvation. Therefore, God was pleased to reveal himself through human authors under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit to men. The Bible is God-breathed, sufficient, trustworthy, inerrant, infallible, and wholly true in all its assertions. Therefore, it must be the ultimate authority by which every realm of human knowledge and endeavor should be judged, and it is to be believed in all that it teaches, obeyed in all that it requires, and trusted in all that it promises.

  • We believe that there is one living and true God, who is the Creator of all things, infinite in being, dependent on nothing, perfectly holy and loving, and eternally existing in the loving unity of the three divine co-equal persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. God, according to his infinite wisdom and power, has lovingly chosen a people for redemption in Christ, from before the foundations of the world, and for the beginning of making all things new unto his infinite glory.

  • We believe that God created all things very good. After He had made all non-image bearing creation, He created mankind, the pinnacle of creation, in his own image, to be Royal Priests and Sons to and for God. They, however, in rebellion against God, because of their own desires and in submission to the Serpent, sinned against the law of God. Therefore, both they and the creation over which they ruled were subjected to the curse of sin and death. In Adam, all humanity died, being by nature and by choice sinners in the sight of a holy God and under his just wrath. Humans can only be redeemed and renewed by the saving work of God in Christ.

  • We believe that Jesus Christ of Nazareth is God incarnate, fully God and fully Man, one man and two natures. He is of one substance and co-equal with the Father in eternity and majesty. He is the image of the invisible God, the exact imprint of his nature, and the center of divine revelation. He was conceived through the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He perfectly did and revealed the will of God. He lived a sinless life, fulfilling the law, was crucified under Pontius Pilate, and buried, yet He arose bodily on the third day, ascending to the right hand of God as Resurrected Lord in majesty and power, where he is our High Priest and Advocate.

  • We believe that Jesus Christ, as our substitution and representative, willingly and in submission to the will of the Father, was crucified for our sins, a perfect sacrifice, once for all. Through his atoning death, Jesus Christ purchased redemption and deliverance for all those whom the Father has predestined for adoption in love. Through God’s resurrection of Jesus Christ by the Spirit, He declared victory over sin and death and the beginning of the renewal of all things in Christ.

  • We believe that The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God, fully divine. He, above all things, in His work, brings glory to the Son, that is, the Lord Jesus. He convicts sinners, illuminates truth, regenerates hearts, sanctifies believers, and unites men in love to God. He is the Source of all life, imaging bearing and non-image bearing creation. He is the downpayment of the inheritance and the security that all the children of God will persevere to the end and be presented blameless before God. He is the Source of all power and ability in the church and will empower God’s people to fulfill God’s mission until the renewal of all things.

  • We believe that God is continuing his work of redemption, which was accomplished in Christ, by the power of the Spirit through his purchased people, that is, the church, the assembled people of God. The church is called to live in the world, but not be of the world, set apart, yet not separated. They are justified as sons by faith in Christ, yet now by God’s grace and the Spirit, they will be sanctified and purified until the day of the Lord. The church is expressed in local congregations gathered around the preaching of the gospel and is given two ordinances: Baptism and the Lord’s supper. These are administered to nourish, confirm, and sanctify the believer, and are not salvific. By the Spirit of God, the church will fulfill the Great Commission given by Christ, which is to make disciples of all the nations to the glory of the Triune God.

  • We believe that God makes his people holy and righteous by their union with Christ, but that also by the Spirit his people will continue to be conformed in life to the image of God’s Son, who was perfect in holiness. Because of God’s love, Christians are called to love God and neighbor. This entails love of the church, justice and mercy for the oppressed, and care for the poor. The upward call of God on the Christian is expansive, but not impossible by the Spirit of God in the lives of believers. The central task of God’s new humanity in Christ is to make God-glorifying disciples of all nations.

  • We believe that God, in his own time and in his own way, will bring all things to consummation. This will begin at the personal and bodily return of the Resurrected Lord Jesus. At this time, the dead and alive will be raised and will stand before the judgement seat of God. The people of God will inherit eternal life and those who did not know him will inherit eternal death. God in Christ, at this time, will make all things new and glorified, including his new and resurrected people. The consummation of all things is not non-existence or even disembodied immaterial existent, but a heightened-glorified existence in communion with the Triune God in the new-glorified creation forever and ever. In this way, God will be all in all.

  • We believe that God will bring every man and woman into account. All are without excuse. All are under the wrath of God. Therefore, God commands all to trust in Christ. This does mean that even those who have not heard the gospel are unexcused and will be condemned for their sin. This demands the importance and urgency of gospel proclamation in all activities as Christians and gospel proclamation among all peoples, especially the unreached.
